Estamos buscando un ingeniero de pruebas de integración de hardware y software (HW & SW) con experiencia para cualificar productos y soluciones de sistemas de gestión de edificios (BMS), con un enfoque particular en la prueba a nivel de sistema. El rol combina pruebas prácticas de hardware y software con el diseño y desarrollo de entornos de prueba de sistemas físicos. El candidato seleccionado construirá sistemas de prueba de BMS representativos, integrará componentes de hardware y software, desarrollará suites de pruebas estructuradas y ejecutará pruebas de cualificación a nivel de sistema. El ingeniero trabajará estrechamente con el desarrollo de software, el desarrollo de hardware, la ingeniería de sistemas, la gestión de productos y especialistas en certificación para identificar problemas desde el principio y garantizar que los productos cumplan con los requisitos funcionales, del sistema y de certificación. Inicialmente, el rol tendrá un fuerte enfoque en establecer el entorno de pruebas y realizar pruebas prácticas.
Responsabilidades Clave
· Diseñar, construir, configurar y mantener entornos de prueba de integración de sistemas físicos para productos y soluciones de BMS.
· Integrar hardware, software, controladores, redes, dispositivos de campo y otros componentes del sistema requeridos en configuraciones de prueba representativas.
· Realizar pruebas de integración de sistema HW/SW para verificar funcionalidad, interoperabilidad, estabilidad y comportamiento del sistema esperado.
· Desarrollar y mantener planes de prueba a nivel de sistema estructurados, casos de prueba y suites de prueba reutilizables.
· Reproducir, analizar, documentar y comunicar defectos descubiertos durante las pruebas del sistema.
· Trabajar en estrecha colaboración con los equipos de desarrollo de software y hardware para apoyar la investigación de causa raíz y la verificación de correcciones.
· Mantener configuraciones de prueba y garantizar que las configuraciones de prueba sean repetibles y representativas de las configuraciones de producto previstas.
· Documentar resultados de pruebas y proporcionar evidencia clara del comportamiento del sistema y del cumplimiento.
· Identificar oportunidades para la automatización de pruebas y desarrollar casos de prueba con la automatización en mente.
· Automatizar pruebas de sistemas adecuadas directamente o colaborar con desarrolladores de software e ingenieros de automatización de pruebas para implementar pruebas automatizadas.
· Contribuir a la mejora continua de procesos de integración, cualificación y certificación del sistema.
· Apoyar actividades de certificación formal proporcionando configuraciones probadas, evidencia de pruebas, información técnica y soporte de ingeniería.
Calificaciones Requeridas
· Experiencia en pruebas de sistema, pruebas de integración de sistemas, o pruebas de integración de HW/SW.
· Fuerte experiencia práctica trabajando con sistemas que contienen componentes de hardware y software.
· Experiencia en diseño, configuración y resolución de problemas de sistemas de prueba físicos.
· Capacidad para traducir requisitos de sistemas y certificación en casos de prueba estructurados y repetibles.
· Experiencia en desarrollo de planes de prueba, casos de prueba, procedimientos de prueba e informes de prueba.
· Fuertes habilidades de resolución de problemas y análisis a través de hardware, software, comunicación y límites del sistema.
· Capacidad para trabajar de forma independiente y asumir la responsabilidad de actividades de prueba a nivel de sistema complejas.
· Fuertes habilidades de colaboración y capacidad para trabajar efectivamente con ingenieros de hardware, desarrolladores de software, ingenieros de sistemas y especialistas en certificación.
· Buenas habilidades de comunicación en inglés, tanto habladas como escritas, incluyendo la capacidad de documentar claramente procedimientos de prueba, resultados, problemas y hallazgos técnicos.

· Experiencia con sistemas de gestión de edificios (BMS), sistemas de automatización de edificios (BAS) o tecnologías de control de edificios relacionadas.
· Experiencia con pruebas automatizadas de sistemas y marcos de pruebas.
· Experiencia preparando productos o sistemas para certificación de terceros.
· Experiencia trabajando directamente con organizaciones de certificación o laboratorios de certificación.

· Las suites de prueba evolucionan de pruebas manuales individuales a suites de prueba de sistema estructuradas y reutilizables.
· Se automatizan progresivamente las pruebas adecuadas, reduciendo las pruebas manuales repetitivas y mejorando la cobertura de pruebas de regresión.
· Los resultados de las pruebas y los problemas identificados están claramente documentados y comunicados eficazmente a los equipos de ingeniería.

The successful candidate will build representative BMS test systems, integrate hardware and software components, develop structured test suites, and execute system-level qualification testing.The engineer will work closely with software development, hardware development, system engineering, product management, and certification specialists to identify issues early and ensure that products meet functional, system, and certification requirements.The role will initially have a strong focus on establishing the test environment and performing hands-on testing.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, build, configure, and maintain physical system integration test environments for BMS products and solutions.
· Integrate hardware, software, controllers, networks, field devices, and other required system components into representative test configurations.
· Perform HW/SW system integration testing to verify functionality, interoperability, stability, and expected system behavior.
· Develop and maintain structured system-level test plans, test cases, and reusable test suites.
· Reproduce, analyze, document, and communicate defects discovered during system testing.
· Work closely with software and hardware development teams to support root-cause investigation and verification of corrections.
· Maintain test configurations and ensure that test setups are repeatable and representative of intended product configurations.
· Document test results and provide clear evidence of system behavior and compliance.
· Identify opportunities for test automation and develop test cases with automation in mind.
· Automate suitable system tests directly or collaborate with software developers and test automation engineers to implement automated testing.
· Contribute to continuous improvement of system integration, qualification, and certification processes.
· Support formal certification activities by providing tested configurations, test evidence, technical information, and engineering support.
Required Qualifications
· Experience in system testing, system integration testing, or HW/SW integration testing.
· Strong hands-on experience working with systems containing both hardware and software components.
· Experience designing, setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting physical test systems.
· Ability to translate system and certification requirements into structured and repeatable test cases.
· Experience developing test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across hardware, software, communication, and system boundaries.
· Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex system-level test activities.
· Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with hardware engineers, software developers, system engineers, and certification specialists.
· Good English communication skills, both spoken and written, including the ability to clearly document test procedures, results, issues, and technical findings.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Building Automation Systems (BAS) or related building-control technologies.
· Experience with automated system testing and test frameworks.
· Experience preparing products or systems for third-party certification.
· Experience working directly with certification organizations or certification laboratories.
· Programming or scripting experience, for example Python or similar technologies used for test automation.
· Experience testing communication networks, field buses, controllers, I/O, sensors, actuators, or other connected building-system components.
· Experience with issue-tracking, requirements-management, test-management, and CI/CD tools.
· Experience with Agile software and product-development processes.
· Experience in the network technology environment BMS systems operate in.

· A robust and representative physical system test environment is established and maintained.
· HW/SW integration issues are identified early in the product-development lifecycle.
· Product releases are systematically pre-tested against applicable UL 864 requirements before formal certification activities.
· Certification-related test cases are documented, repeatable, and traceable.
· Test suites evolve from individual manual tests into structured and reusable system test suites.
· Suitable tests are progressively automated, reducing repetitive manual testing and improving regression-test coverage.
· Test results and identified issues are clearly documented and effectively communicated to engineering teams.
· Software, hardware, systems, and certification teams have a common understanding of product readiness and remaining technical risks.
